Stylist Yasmine Hany Elevates a Basic White Shirt in Three Ways

A plain white long-sleeved shirt is about as ordinary as a wardrobe gets. But Cairo-based stylist and creative director Yasmine Hany has never been particularly interested in wearing clothes exactly as they were intended.

For SceneStyled, Hany teamed up with Egyptian production house Meander to style the same white shirt three different ways, putting her penchant for experimentation to work on one of fashion's most familiar wardrobe staples.

Having worked on creative direction for Havva Dose and Mamzi, and styling for Palma and Shoezed, Hany has developed a habit of making the clothes she wishes existed. She has constructed an outfit entirely out of 55 belts, made her own feather skirts and found ways to turn everyday wardrobe essentials into garments with entirely different purposes.

"My personal style and wardrobe have to consist of multifunctional pieces that I can easily play with, yet comfort is huge for me," she tells SceneStyled.
