The new system lets airport staff complete entry and departure procedures on handheld devices in around 12 to 15 seconds.
Dubai Airports has introduced a mobile entry and exit processing system called ‘Click and Travel’, allowing airport staff to complete passenger formalities on handheld devices rather than at traditional counters.
Each transaction takes around 12 to 15 seconds, with the system using facial recognition, electronic passport reading and secure links to official databases to verify identity and travel documents.
The service is designed to keep passengers moving through the airport while staff handle entry and departure procedures directly on mobile devices.
Dubai Airports said the system will help reduce waiting times and improve passenger flow for citizens, residents and visitors across Dubai’s airports.
