These Luxury Hotels Have the Fastest Wi-Fi in MENA
Saudi’s Four Seasons Riyadh and the UAE’s Raffles the Palm, and Jumeirah Mina Al Salam were top-performing hotels.
Remote workers—and therefore frequent travellers—will be happy to know that several luxury hotels in Dubai and Riyadh have been shown to have some of the fastest Wi-Fi in the MENA region.
According to a study done by Ookla (famous for their global broadband speed tests), which evaluated Wi-Fi performance at 22 prominent five-star hotels and resorts, Saudi’s Four Seasons Riyadh and the UAE’s Raffles the Palm, and Jumeirah Mina Al Salam are top-performing hotels, having achieved median download speeds of over 100 Mbps. These speeds support seamless 4K streaming, rapid downloads, and smooth video conferencing.
The second tier of hotels, with speeds between 50 Mbps and 100 Mbps, includes notable properties like Burj Al Arab and Atlantis the Royal in Dubai, and Rixos Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt.
As guests increasingly prioritize reliable internet access, cities like Dubai and Riyadh are investing heavily in network infrastructure to cater to the needs of digital nomads and travelling professionals.
