Visa-Free Entry Agreement Between Egypt and Kenya

Egypt and Kenya have announced a mutual agreement to establish visa-free entry for diplomats and official passport holders within six months. This visa-free agreement between the two countries will be finalised by April 1st for diplomats and by October 1st for official passport holders.

This was one of the products of bilateral talks between Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sameh Shoukry and Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Alfred Mutua. This is in line with the AfCFTA (African Continental Free Trade Area) initiative’s vision of promoting free flow of people and goods, expanding trade, and boosting tourism.

The Egypt-Kenya Joint Commission for Cooperation will be held within weeks to solidify and further develop trade deals between the two countries.
