Egyptian filmmaker Morad Mostafa's short film, ‘I Promise You Parade’ (aka ‘Eissa’) continues to make waves at the 76th edition of Cannes Film Festival. Just days after receiving the prestigious Rail d'Or award, the film is now taking home the Audience Award at the 76th Cannes Film Festival, as part of the Critics' Week section.

‘I Promise You Paradise’ delves into the life of Eissa, a 17-year-old Sub-Saharan African migrant in Egypt who finds himself caught in the aftermath of a violent incident. Driven by love and a sense of urgency, Eissa embarks on a race against time to protect his loved ones, willing to go to any lengths necessary.

The refugee drama has also been selected to participate in the short film competition at the 45th edition of the Cairo International Film Festival.
