Egypt Showcases Holy Family Trail in International Religious Exhibit
Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism showcased their progress on the Holy Family Trail during the 20th edition of Koinè in Italy.
During the 20th edition of Koinè, an international exhibition dedicated to spotlighting religious art, artefacts and tourism in Vincenzo, Italy, Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities set up a pavilion to showcase their progress on the Holy Family Trail.
Amongst 200 exhibitors from 30 countries, the Egyptian pavilion highlighted the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities’ efforts to preserve and restore the path that Jesus, Mary and Joseph took on their biblical flight through Egypt. Their journey to and from Egypt - which extends over 3,500 km and 31 sites - is well-charted, and an important component of Coptic Egyptian traditions.
The pavilion was praised by officials within the Coptic Orthodox church in Milan as a reflection of the work done by the Egyptian government to develop and promote the Holy Family Trail.
