Egypt University of Informatics Launches in New Administrative Capital
Created by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), the EUI is considered the first university in the MENA region to specialise in information and communications technology.
A recent presidential initiative has cut the ribbon for the Egyptian University of Informatics (EUI), officially establishing the university at the Knowledge City in the New Administrative Capital. Created by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), the EUI is considered the first university in the MENA region to specialise in information and communications technology. This position is bolstered by international cooperation with major universities in the technology and communications field, such as the agreement to hold dual degree programmes with Purdue University and another agreement with the American University of Minnesota.
Although most of the campus is still under construction, EUI's first building will start hosting classes for the university's four faculties - namely the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Business Technology, and the Faculty of Digital Arts and Design - in October, 2021.
