Longest Road in Egypt Will Connect Giza to New Valley
The road will be 1,200 km long and 23 m wide within New Valley, and will continue for an additional 800 km into Giza, at a total cost of about EGP 22 billion.
The Governor of New Valley, Mohamed Al-Zomlout, has announced the construction of the Toshka Farafra road in the governorate, which is expected to be the longest road in Egypt. The road will be 1,200 km long and 23 m wide within New Valley, and will continue for an additional 800 km into Giza, at a total cost of about EGP 22 billion.
With plans to reduce accidents and road collisions, the Ministry of Transportation approved an additional project to upholster New Valley’s infrastructure over two phases at a total cost of about EGP 500 million.
