New Digital Training Centre Opens in North Sinai
The launch of Creativa is part of a broader governmental strategy to equip all governorates with digital training centres.
A new digital creativity centre is set to open at Al-Arish University, which will focus on furthering the digital and technological skills of students and youth in the North Sinai Governorate. The Creativa centre will offer training in information technology and communications.
The project is a collaboration between the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and hopes to equip students with the necessary experience in communications and information technologies to enter the global labour market. The project also hopes to provide the necessary digital services to the inhabitants of the North Sinai governorate.
This recent digital training centre is part of a greater strategy by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to provide digital services in all governorates. The project thus far has seen digital training centres open in Aswan, Qena, Sohag, Minya, Mansoura, Menoufia, Ismailia and Cairo, and is scheduled to reach up to 20 centres nationwide by the beginning of 2024.
