US to Gift 6.4 Million Doses of Pfizer & Moderna Vaccine to Egypt
The United States previous gifted 1.6 million doses of Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine to Egypt last week.

After donating 1.6 million doses of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine to Egypt last week, the United States will send an additional 6.4 million doses of the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines to Egypt later this month.
Egypt has been revving up its national vaccination plan; at least 16.2 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Egypt, with 5.7 million people in Egypt fully vaccinated. With these donations, Egypt hopes to accomplish its goal of vaccinating 40% of its population by the end of the year.
The doses will be dispatched to the Ministry of Health and Population's facilities in Cairo and other governorates, and will be stored in ultra-cold storage equipment.
