Abu Dhabi's Open Kickboxing Championship to Take Place November 22nd
The Open Kickboxing Championship begins with fighters from 39 clubs competing in Point Fight and Kick Light at Space 42 Arena.
The UAE Open Kickboxing Championship is set to take place from November 22nd to the 24th at Space 42 Arena in Al Raha Beach, Abu Dhabi, attracting a record 581 fighters from 39 clubs.
Organized by the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation, the championship aims to promote the growth and development of kickboxing in the Emirates, offering a platform for local athletes to compete at the highest level. The event will feature two core disciplines - Point Fight and Kick Light - open to participants aged seven to 40, ensuring a dynamic and inclusive tournament that accommodates all levels of experience.
"We are proud to host this prestigious championship, which aligns with our mission to support the development of Muay Thai and kickboxing through balanced and strategic initiatives,” said Ali Khouri, Board Member of the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation and Executive Member of the International Kickboxing Federation. “This tournament offers athletes invaluable experience and the opportunity to demonstrate their capabilities in the ring.”
Established in 2017, the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation continues to drive the sport's growth within the country, aiming to build a community that values both the technical and cultural aspects of Muay Thai and kickboxing. The federation’s efforts are focused on positioning the UAE as a global hub for these dynamic martial arts, with ambitions to excel in international competitions, both at the professional and amateur levels.
