Actors Mahmoud Hemida & Asser Yassin Star in New Netflix Series

Egyptian actors Mahmoud Hemida and Asser Yassin will co-star in a new Netflix series, ‘Echoes of the Past’, scheduled to premiere later in 2024. 

Directed by Al Sadeer Massoud and written by Mohamed El Masry, the limited eight-episode series follows the story of Yehia (played by Yassin) as he embarks on a quest for vengeance after the tragic death of his sister Nadia.

Produced by Charisma Group with Mohammed Mashish as the executive producer, ‘Echoes of the Past’ features an ensemble cast of stars like Saba Mubarak, Sherif Salama, Rakeen Saad, Shereen Reda, Huda Elmufti, Mohammed Alaa, Tamer Nabil as well as Mohammed Tharwat. 

In 2015, Mahmoud Hemida and Asser Yassin shared the screen in the drama film ‘Mn Dahr Ragel’, which followed the story of the downfall of a professional boxer upon the sudden discovery of his father’s past.
