Amir El-Masry in the Running for Chlotrudis Award for Best Actor

Dedicated celebrating independent film (and named after the founders’ cats, Chloe and Gertrudis), the 28th edition of the Chlotrudis Awards has nominated El-Masry for his starring role in the critically acclaimed Scottish film ‘Limbo’, which follows a refugee that has become stranded by bureaucracy and alienation on a remote island as he awaits the approval of his asylum request into Britain
El-Masry is no stranger to accolades; his role in ‘Limbo’ has already earned him a BAFTA Scotland Award for Best Actor, and a nomination for Best Actor at the British Independent Film Awards. The actor is currently awaiting the release of his new Netflix series, ‘Rogue Heroes’, about a young man who works in a pharmaceuticals company, and his journey with his best friend James and girlfriend Rebecca.
