Red Sea Film Fest Cancels 2026 Edition

The sixth edition of the Red Sea International Film Festival (RSIFF) has been postponed from 2026 to the fourth quarter of 2027, the Red Sea Film Foundation announced today, September 21st.

The foundation said the decision follows a review of the timing and logistical requirements involved in staging the international festival, adding that the move is intended to ensure the event takes place “at the right time and under the right conditions”.

“We are deeply grateful to our filmmakers, partners, guests and audiences for their continued trust and support as we look ahead to the Festival's return in 2027”.

While the festival itself is on pause, the foundation’s year-round programming will continue through the Red Sea Fund, Red Sea Labs and other initiatives. From November 2026, it will also launch year-round programming at Culture Square in Historic Jeddah.

The foundation said further information, including details on refunds for film submissions and accreditation, will be available through its website.
