Cairo Intl Book Fair Introduces Affordable Book Bundles

The 57th Cairo International Book Fair is introducing a new initiative titled ‘A Library for Every Home’, offering curated book packages aimed at encouraging reading within households through accessible pricing and carefully selected titles.

The initiative includes a bundle of 20 books drawn from various cultural sectors, covering a range of literary and intellectual fields, alongside a dedicated Naguib Mahfouz collection featuring 15 of his major works. Both packages are being offered at nominal prices to widen access to books across different segments of society.

This year’s edition of the fair centres on the theme of Egyptian identity, framing the Egyptian creator as a link between the country’s ancient cultural heritage and contemporary creative expression.

The programme brings together 1,457 publishing houses from 83 countries, alongside a packed cultural agenda that includes hundreds of events, workshops and more than 100 book signings.

A new addition to the fair is the ‘Ahlena’ Camp, which debuts this year as a dedicated space highlighting Egypt’s intangible cultural heritage from across its governorates. The fair also includes specialised cultural salons and tailored programming for children and families, expanding its focus beyond book sales to broader cultural engagement.
