Just revealed tonight at the Creative Industry Summit by producer Tarek El Ganainy, Egyptian superstar Amr Diab played an unexpected role in one of 2024’s fan-favorite series, ‘Hala Khassa’. Diab suggested the use of Hany Shenouda’s iconic music, which became an integral part of the show’s soundscape.

Starring Taha Desouky as Nadeem, an aspiring lawyer on the spectrum, ‘Hala Khassa’ masterfully incorporated timeless hits from Shenouda’s 1970s pop band ‘Al Masreyeen’, including ‘Fel Shawaree Hawadeet,’ and ‘Awqat Ashouf Malamhak.’ These tracks became an integral part of the storyline, adding a layer of nostalgic charm to the show. The show’s musical score was also composed by Shenouda.
