Karim El Shennawy’s ‘Daye’ Hits Egyptian Cinemas on September 3rd
The trailer reveals guest-star appearances from Mohamady Mounir, Ahmed Helmy, and Mohamed Mamdouh.

The official trailer for ‘Daye: The Tale of Daye’s Family’, directed by Karim El Shenawy, has dropped just days before the film’s Egyptian release on September 3rd, 2025.
The story follows Daye, a 11-year-old Nubian albino boy with a golden voice, navigating abandonment and bullying while chasing his dream to become a singer like his idol, Mohamed Mounir. The trailer also reveals guest appearances from Mounir himself, Ahmed Helmy, and Mohamed Mamdouh, alongside more than a dozen other stars set to appear in the film.
Leading the cast are Badr Mohamed, Aseel Omran, Islam Mubarak, and Haneen Saeed, with supporting roles by Sabry Fawaz, Tamer Nabil, Ahmed Abdel Hameed, Arfa Abdel Rasoul, and Mahmoud El Sarraj.
Written by Haitham Dabbour and produced by El Shenawy, Ahmed Youssef, and Dabbour, the film brings together Blueprint Productions, Film Square, Synergy, Misr International Films, Red Star, and CineWaves, with international distribution via Big Time.
‘Daye: The Tale of Daye’s Family’ premiered at the Red Sea International Film Festival before making its European debut in the Generation 14+ section at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival.
