Mexico's Gala de Danza is Strutting to the Grand Egyptian Museum
British, Cuban-Canadian, American and Egyptian artists will take part in Gala de Danza's debut at the Grand Egyptian Museum on November 5th.
Gala de Danza, the Mexico-born festival that brings together dance, music and visual art, is set to make its Egyptian debut at the Grand Egyptian Museum on Thursday, November 5th, turning the landmark venue into a stage for an international roster of performers.
Presented by GEM Experience, the event will feature appearances by British ballet dancer and actress Francesca Hayward, Cuban-Canadian dancer Cesar Corrales, and American ballet talent Sylvie Win Szyndlar. Representing Egypt is dancer and choreographer Luca Abdel-Nour.
The evening marks a significant milestone for Abdel-Nour, who will make his first professional performance in Egypt. He is also set to choreograph and perform a world premiere alongside Yuanyuan Zhang of the Dutch National Ballet.
Founded in Mexico, Gala de Danza has become known for bringing together artists from across disciplines, combining ballet, contemporary dance, music and visual arts in site-specific settings.
