Oscar-Nominated 'The Voice of Hind Rajab' Is Now Streaming on Shahid
Shahid brings one of this awards season’s most internationally discussed films to audiences in the region.
The Voice of Hind Rajab, the 2025 Tunisian-French docudrama directed by Kaouther Ben Hania, is now available to stream on Shahid, bringing one of this awards season’s most internationally discussed films to audiences in the region.
The film reconstructs the final hours of Hind Rajab, a six-year-old Palestinian girl who was killed in Gaza by Israeli occupation forces in January 2024 while trapped in a family car under fire. Rather than traditional battlefield scenes, the narrative unfolds largely through dramatized depictions of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society’s emergency dispatch centre and incorporates real audio recordings of Hind’s phone calls with rescuers.
The Voice of Hind Rajab premiered in competition at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival, where it won the Silver Lion Grand Jury Prize. It has also been nominated for an Academy Award in the Best International Feature Film category at the 98th Oscars, marking a major milestone for Tunisian and Arab cinema, and Ben Hania’s third Oscar nomination.
