The Voice of Hind Rajab Is Officially Nominated for an Oscar

Tunisian-French film The Voice of Hind Rajab has been officially nominated for the 98th Academy Awards. The announcement was made as part of the Academy’s narrowed list of films in contention for Best International Feature ahead of the 2026 Oscars.

Directed by Kaouther Ben Hania, the docudrama is based on the true and harrowing last hours of Hind Rajab, a young Palestinian girl killed by Israeli troops in Gaza in January 2024.

The Voice of Hind Rajab has already drawn widespread attention and critical acclaim, including a major award at the Venice Film Festival and a Golden Globe nomination for Best Motion Picture – Non-English Language.
The announcement places the film alongside other international contenders as voting continues toward final Oscar nominations, with the ceremony set for early 2026.
