Phlog Announces Open Call for World Cup Photography Competition
Under the slogan ‘Egypt Never Sleeps’, Phlog is inviting applicants to portray the anticipation the World Cup brings to communities across the country.
Phlog, a Cairo-based platform connecting photographers with buyers and brands around the world, has launched an open call for its World Cup Photography Competition, inviting photographers to document how communities across Egypt experience the tournament.
Under the theme 'Egypt Never Sleeps', the competition encourages participants to capture the anticipation, energy and sense of togetherness that accompany the World Cup, focusing on the interactions, moods and moments that unfold beyond the matches themselves. Rather than the action on the pitch, the call seeks images that reflect the human stories and shared experiences shaping Egypt's World Cup atmosphere.
The winning photographer will receive a prize of EGP 5,000. To enter, participants must submit between three and 10 photographs through the Phlog Photographers app by July 20th.
