Photopia Launches Open Call for Photo Exhibit Celebrating the FIFA Wor

Main Body: Photopia is celebrating the FIFA World Cup 2026 with an open call for photographs that explore football as a living human space and cultural experience. 

Egyptian photographers are invited to submit images that capture football in everyday life, from amateur neighbourhood matches to major moments in stadiums.

Photopia welcomes any image that honours the sport, from the excitement of fans in cafés to expressions of applause or defeat after a goal. A selection of the submitted works will be displayed at a photography exhibition in Downtown Cairo from June 11th to July 19th, the end of the tournament.

This initiative, run in collaboration with Al Ismaelia, seeks to celebrate the shared experience, collective memory, and continuity that football provides to promote resilience.
