'The Voice of Hind Rajab' will screen in cinemas in Egypt and Palestine starting December 17th, 2025, with a wider Arab release on December 18th, 2025. The screenings are part of MAD Solutions’ Cinemad initiative, which aims to present Arab festival films in Arab theatres over a three-month period beginning in December. The Oscar-nominated film is written and directed by Kaouther Ben Hania and is a Tunisian-French co-production. It is based on events in January 2024 concerning six-year-old Palestinian Hind Rajab, whose family fled bombardment in northern Gaza before their car was targeted by Israeli occupation forces. Hind called the Palestinian Red Crescent while under fire; the responders dispatched to reach her were killed on their way, and her body was found 12 days later. The film had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival, where it received a 24-minute ovation and won the Silver Lion. It also received collateral honours including the Golden Cub, the Italian Red Cross Award, the Arca Young Cinema Award, a Cinema for UNICEF mention, the Premio Sorriso Diverso, and the Enrico Fulchignoni Prize associated with UNESCO. Executive producers include Brad Pitt, Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara. Cinemad’s slate features titles from across the region. Egyptian films include 'Mouse Hole' by Mohamed El Samman, '50 Metres' by Yomna Khattab, 'The Colony' by Mohamed Rashad, '60 Egyptian Pounds' by Amr Salama, 'Smokey Eyes' by Ali Ali, and 'Simo' by Aziz Zermane.
