AI Firm KniTT Launches AI-Powered Private Cloud Platform in UAE

Technology company KniTT has launched Elysium, an AI-powered private cloud platform, in the UAE, marking the company's entry into the Middle East as businesses increasingly explore alternatives to public cloud infrastructure.

KniTT, a partner of the SEED Group under the Private Office of Sheikh Saeed bin Ahmed Al Maktoum, said the platform enables organisations to retain ownership and control of their data while benefiting from cloud-style automation and scalability. Unlike traditional public cloud services, Elysium allows enterprises to deploy cloud capabilities within their own infrastructure rather than relying on third-party data centres.

According to the company, the platform is built on a zero-trust security architecture and is designed to reduce latency, strengthen cybersecurity, support regulatory compliance and integrate with existing public cloud environments. KniTT also said Elysium can reduce total cost of ownership by at least 30% through its dedicated infrastructure model.

The launch comes as organisations across the Gulf increasingly adopt sovereign and hybrid cloud strategies in response to data residency requirements, cybersecurity concerns and rising cloud costs. Citing Gartner, KniTT noted that around 20% of cloud workloads globally are being repatriated to local or national infrastructure.

The company also pointed to continued investment in sovereign cloud projects across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, which it said exceed $6 billion, alongside the growing contribution of the digital economy to both countries' GDP. KniTT said Elysium is intended to support enterprises balancing AI adoption and digital transformation with greater control over their data, infrastructure and security.
