AI Platform 'Egypt Innovate' Links Startups With Capital & Institution

Unveiled at the AI Everything Middle East & Africa exhibition in Cairo, ‘Egypt Innovate’ is a fully integrated national digital platform for innovation and entrepreneurship designed to bring startups, investors, universities, research centres and public institutions onto a single system.

Developed and operated by a consortium led by Entlaq alongside partners Robusta and Kamelizer, the platform formalises a public–private alliance. Its launch at the Egypt International Exhibition Center drew delegations from more than 30 countries.

According to Ahmed ElZaher, CEO of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), the initiative supports Egypt’s national strategy to build a knowledge-based economy by using data and advanced technologies to drive sustainable growth. He said the platform is designed to facilitate access to funding through a dynamic database that showcases young companies’ business models and value propositions, while positioning Egypt’s entrepreneurial ecosystem on regional and international stages.

Authorities have placed particular emphasis on Arabic-language content to support digital inclusion and local skills development. The aim is to broaden access to technical and entrepreneurial resources for founders across the country.

Following its pilot phase, ‘Egypt Innovate’ connects 780 entities including startups, investors, incubators and research centres, and hosts more than 3,700 pieces of sector-specific content. The community comprises over 81,000 registered users and is supported by a network of expert advisers.

The platform’s core tools are data-driven and AI-powered. These include a digital assistant, an interactive ecosystem map, an automated matching system linking startups with investors, and a learning centre.

In 2025, Egyptian startups raised nearly $614 million in venture capital and debt financing, according to the Ministry of Planning Economic Development and International Cooperation.
