Egypt-Born Fintech Valu Officially Launches Operations in Jordan
The Egypt-born fintech is offering consumer financing and buy now, pay later plans of up to 60 months across Jordan.
Egypt-born fintech Valu has officially launched operations in Jordan, marking its first full entry into the market after a soft launch earlier this year.
The company began operating in the first quarter of 2026 after receiving final approval from the Central Bank of Jordan under a specialised financing licence. That allows Valu to offer consumer financing products, including buy now, pay later plans of up to 60 months within approved credit limits.
Since the soft launch, Valu has focused on building local infrastructure and merchant partnerships across retail, e-commerce, education, electronics, consumer goods and social commerce. Services are available both at physical points of sale and through digital platforms.
Valu has also established local credit and payments infrastructure, working with licensed providers for credit information and payment services to support application assessments and risk management.
The Jordan operation is led by a locally based team from King Hussein Business Park, with branches in Sweifieh Village, King Hussein Business Park and Taj Mall.
Founder and Group CEO Walid Hassouna said the company plans to adapt the experience it has built in Egypt to local market conditions rather than replicate the Egyptian model directly.
