Egyptian Edtech NextEra Education to Overhaul Traditional Curricula
The soon-to-be-launched initiative will provide every public school student with a free ‘AI Teacher’.
NextEra Education, an educational startup based in Egypt, has announced a project aimed at transforming Egypt’s education system and overhauling traditional curricula. The initiative comes as a result of a strategic partnership between EYouth and business leaders Mohamed Farouk and Ahmed Tarek, as well as entrepreneurs Mustafa Abd Ellatif and Mokhtar Ahmed.
The startup - which has received investment exceeding LE 2 billion - seeks to modernise the country’s educational landscape. Integrating advanced AI technologies and forging alliances with prestigious international universities, NextEra is designed to address the growing challenges within Egypt’s education system, equipping students with the skills necessary to thrive in a rapidly evolving global economy, delivering personalised ‘AI teachers’ to all of the country’s students.
"Our goal is to build an educational ecosystem in Egypt that bridges the gap between traditional methods and modern economic needs,” Mohamed Farouk, CEO of Mobica and Chairman of NextEra Education, tells StartupScene. “Through these investments and AI integration, we are setting a new benchmark for educational excellence in Egypt."
Expertise from both business and education sectors converge under this initiative, creating a robust educational ecosystem designed to foster the development of future global industry leaders, whilst also encouraging innovation and creativity among Egypt’s students.
NextEra Education has partnered with renowned universities - including the University of Minnesota, Drake University, Illinois Institute of Technology, Collège de Paris, Nexford University, and 01 Talent Coding School - to ensure the highest level of academic collaboration.
Partnerships with these universities will enable Next Era Education to offer globally recognised accredited programs, including Bachelor’s degrees in fields such as Programming Systems, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Business Administration, Data Science, and Analytics.
