Jordan’s Arab Therapy Raises $1M to Expand Mental Health Services
The startup is the fastest growing online mental health platform in the MENA region.
Jordanian healthtech startup Arab Therapy has raised $1 million in seed funding during an investment drive led by Flat6Labs and Vision Health Pioneers, a German-based startup incubator. Arab Therapy is currently the fastest growing online mental health platform in the MENA region, with the latest investment improving the startup’s training programs for their Arab doctors in Germany.
“This funding is crucial for expanding our reach and improving our technology, particularly in addressing the increasing mental health needs that have arisen during the COVID-19 pandemic and the war on Gaza,” Dr. Tareq Dalbah, Co-Founder and CEO of Arab Therapy, tells StartupScene.
Arab Therapy’s main focus is filling a gap in the mental health sector, which suffers from a shortage of well trained Arabic-speaking therapists globally. Their platform offers a full service - not just a collection of therapists’ profiles - with trained counsellors and psychiatrists also available to provide personalised, tailored care.
Recent investment in the startup will also allow expansion into new markets, both geographically and also across social strata, aiming to draw a broader, more diverse customer base. Arab Therapy also plans to initiate business-to-business (B2B) operations, collaborating with corporations and education institutions to incorporate their services through such companies.
