Shorooq & Presight Back Maven Robotics in $100 Million Series A
The California-founded robotics startup will use the funding to build 250 third-generation robots and develop its next industrial system.
US-based industrial robotics startup Maven Robotics has raised $100 million in a Series A round joined by UAE investors Shorooq Partners and Presight. The investment came through the Presight Shorooq AI and Bedaya funds managed by Shorooq, alongside RoboStrategy, LocalGlobe, Vine Ventures and XTX Ventures.
Founded in California in 2024, Maven develops wheeled, dual-armed robots for industrial and logistics environments, initially focusing on mixed palletising and tote handling.
The company plans to use the funding to build 250 third-generation robots, expand production and develop a fourth-generation system capable of handling a broader range of industrial tasks. Presight, an Abu Dhabi-based applied AI company and part of G42, joins Shorooq in backing Maven’s move into physical AI, where autonomous systems operate directly within real-world environments.
The round gives Maven additional capital to scale beyond early deployments and expand into wider materials-handling applications across distribution and logistics operations. The deal also extends Shorooq’s deep-tech investment activity into industrial robotics while adding another US-based technology company to Presight’s wider AI investment footprint.
