Startups Without Borders Summit to Land at Cairo’s District 5
The summit will focus on building a transnational ecosystem for entrepreneurs around the globe.
Startup Without Borders (SWB), a global platform dedicated to establishing a transnational network to support entrepreneurs around the world, will launch the fifth edition of its annual summit from May 10th to May 11th in Cairo, Egypt. Taking place at high-scale coworking space Kamelizer Spaces in District 5, the summit - launched under the theme of ‘Break Borders, Build Global Horizons’ - will bring together more than 3,000 innovators, VCs, and accelerators from the UK, Japan, US, Senegal, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia to help entrepreneurs build businesses on a global scale.
“For the past six years, we have gone from city to city in MENA and Europe on a mission to build a transnational ecosystem for entrepreneurs, no matter where they come from,” Valentina Primo, founder and CEO of Startups Without Borders, tells StartupScene. “In a difficult year for the region, we believe there couldn’t be a better time to join forces and connect the visionary entrepreneurs that turn every crisis into an opportunity. By bringing startup delegations and investors from all corners of the world, from Italy to Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, we are certain that the power that cross-border collaboration can spark is boundless.”
The summit will include more than 30 workshops, providing entrepreneurs with insights and tools to grow and scale their businesses, from building a sales funnel to understanding the power of AI. The packed schedule will include the likes of John Gamba, serial entrepreneur and Entrepreneur in Residence at University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education, and strategic communications expert Jackie Jircitano, who will share insights on how startups can enter US and Saudi markets.
Like previous summits, this year’s event will feature an Investor Room, where startups will be matched with an investor according to their industry, geography, and ticket size. In 2023, the Investor Room hosted more than 450 one-on-one meetings with investors.
One of the most exciting features of this year’s summit, however, is the AI Salon, launched in partnerships with US-Based VC Blitzscaling Ventures. Landing in the Middle East for the first time, this global platform aims to bring together AI enthusiasts and entrepreneurs to connect and collaborate about everything dedicated to AI. This series will be the first of many to be featured at SWB’s summits in the coming years.
Participants can attend the fifth edition of the annual SWB summit by registering on the Startup Without Borders website.
