The Pitch Initiative Launches at Dubai Future Week

Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) has launched ‘The Pitch’, an initiative giving Dubai-based startups and entrepreneurs the chance to present their ideas to investors, corporate partners, government entities and industry experts during Dubai Future Week from November 18th to 21st.

Startups with viable products, prototypes, business concepts, research projects or university spin-offs will be considered for advancement to the ‘Shark Tank Dubai’ finale, where selected ventures will compete for investment.

Pitches should address one of six focus areas: heat and climate-resilient infrastructure, food and supply chain resilience, human development and learning, longevity and preventative health, urban living systems, and energy and water resource systems.

“The Pitch goes beyond live presentations by startups, offering a series of activations designed to open doors to collaboration, mentorship and investments,” says Abdulaziz AlJaziri, Deputy CEO of Dubai Future Foundation.

Finalists will be judged by a panel of entrepreneurship leaders including Mohamed Al Zaabi, founder of Royal Yachts and CEO of OBK Investment Group; Mona Ataya, founder of Mumzworld and co-founder of Bayt.com; Abdallah Abu-Sheikh, founder and CEO of Mal; and Abdulla Alashram, CEO of AMA Group.
