Thndr Plans $5.9 Million Real Estate Fund as Asset Management Expands
Thndr plans a multi-issue real estate fund of about LE 300 million per issuance, alongside a new fixed-income fund.
Egypt-based fintech and digital brokerage Thndr Securities Brokerage is expanding into asset management, with plans to launch a multi-issue real estate fund before the end of 2026.
The planned vehicle is expected to be sized at around LE 300 million, or roughly $5.9 million, per issuance. Thndr has already applied to introduce an income-generating real estate fund that would invest across property assets in partnership with developers and specialist operators.
Alongside real estate, the company plans to launch a new fixed-income fund during September. It is also studying the introduction of hedge funds once the relevant regulations are issued, with rules expected before the end of the year.
Managing Director Ahmed Hamouda said individual investors have placed around LE 30 billion into funds through the platform, while total trading executed through the app has exceeded LE 1 trillion over the past six years.
Thndr’s gold investment fund also reached around LE 1 billion in assets within a month of launch, according to Hamouda.
Founded in 2020 as a digital brokerage focused on retail access to equities, Thndr has since expanded into funds, gold and fixed-income products. In late 2025, the company obtained licences for asset and portfolio management, allowing it to develop and operate its own investment funds.
In July 2026, Thndr for Investment in Real Estate Assets received a licence from the Financial Regulatory Authority to operate as a fund company, supporting the group’s expansion into property investment.
