10,000 School Kits Donated to Low-Income UAE Families
The project now extends to Abu Dhabi, following a partnership between Dubai Cares and Aldar Properties.
Ten thousand ‘Back to School’ kits will be distributed to low-income families in the UAE following a partnership between real estate development company Aldar Properties and philanthropic children’s rights organisation Dubai Cares.
Aldar has contributed AED 1 million to the new partnership, which will provide children from disadvantaged households with essentials for their return to school ahead of the 2024/25 academic year.
As part of the project, 100 Aldar employees will join existing Dubai Cares volunteers on August 23rd to distribute the school kits. This year’s edition of the ‘Back to School’ initiative comes to Abu Dhabi for the first time as part of ‘Volunteer Emirates’, one of Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s Global Initiatives designed to foster community engagement.
