12th World Urban Forum Will Be Hosted in Egypt in 2024
UN Habitat has chosen Egypt to host the World Urban Forum, which will take place November 2024.
UN Habitat has picked Egypt as the host of the 12th edition of the World Urban Forum (WUF), which is set to take place in November 2024.
The goal of the 12th WUF will be to build upon the outcomes of both the former World Forums as well as the COP27 UN Climate Change Conference that took place in Sharm El Sheikh in 2022.
The Egyptian government looks to use the opportunity to highlight developing countries’ plans and achievements in the field of urban development in line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
Established in 2001, the WUF tackles sustainable urbanisation across the globe. The 11th session will take place in Poland this June.
