43 Ready-to-Operate Factories Unveiled in Robbiki Leather City
The new factories are open to operation by investors, aiming to boost Egypt’s leather exports beyond USD 1 billion annually.
43 ready-to-operate factories have been unveiled at Robbiki Leather City, offering immediate opportunities for investors in leather goods production. Part of a broader industrial development initiative, these factories are geared towards export-ready manufacturing, marking a key milestone in the sector’s evolution.
The newly opened facilities are designed to enhance Egypt’s capacity to produce finished leather products such as garments, shoes, and accessories, with a goal of surpassing USD 1 billion in annual leather exports. This aligns with a strategic shift from exporting raw leather to producing value-added goods, boosting global competitiveness.
Robbiki Leather City, established in 2020, spans 500 acres to the east of Cairo, and offers modern infrastructure to support manufacturers. With further expansion underway, including 100 additional factories, the complex looks to support the government’s goals of transforming the country into a regional leader in leather goods production.
