In preparation for the holy month of Ramadan, 67 newly built and renovated mosques will open on March 10th.
61 of these mosques were built all across the country - including the governorates of Qenna, Ismailia, Alexandria and Minya - especially for the occasion, while six underwent extensive maintenance in order to accommodate the upcoming prayers and festivities. The new mosques are part of the Ministry of Awqaf’s plans for the holy month, which includes preparing over 16,000 mosques to host Ramadan prayers.
