86 Industrial Licenses Worth USD 587 Million Issued By Saudi in April
Food production led with 12 new factories, followed by the chemical, rubber and plastic industries.
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources issued 86 new industrial licenses in April, totaling investments of SAR 2.2 billion, bringing the year-to-date total to 410 licenses.
According to a report from the ministry’s National Center for Industrial and Mining Information, 67 factories began production in April, with investments amounting to SAR 1.5 billion.
Food production led the way with 12 new factories, followed by the chemicals industry with 11, and the rubber and plastic industries with 10.
The new licenses were distributed across 10 regions, with Riyadh leading with 36 factories, followed by Makkah with 22, and the Eastern Region with 17. Madinah saw three new factories, while Qassim and Hail each added two. Najran, Asir, Al Jouf, and Tabuk each saw the addition of one new factory.
