Absence Records in Public Schools Are Becoming Fully Digitised
Digitising the records allows for better regulation and enforcement of the new absence guidelines.
Following the introduction of tighter measures and harsher consequences to the absence system for students in public schools, Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, announced the beginning of a country-wide digitisation of absence records.
Digitising the records will allow for better accessibility of information for the regulation and enforcement of the new absence guidelines. Better regulation and digitisation also means that parents will be notified on the spot if their child hasn’t made it to school, which hasn’t been as easily enforced before.
This not only translates to students learning accountability, but it’s also an added layer of security for younger students whose parents don’t take them to school.
