Assault Case Against Wrestler 'Kesho' Dismissed for Lack of Evidence
The case against the Egyptian wrestler has been dismissed by police due to lack of evidence from security cameras.
According to an announcement by the Egyptian Olympic Committee, Paris police have officially dismissed the sexual assault case against Egyptian wrestler Mohammed Ibrahim El-Sayed, also known as ‘Kesho’. After inspecting footage from security cameras in and around the Parisian cafe at which the alleged sexual assault took place, they found insufficient evidence to continue with the case.
‘Kesho’ was arrested after a woman accused him of ‘grabbing her buttocks in the street’, as he was leaving a cafe at around 4.30am.
He left the Olympic Village following the incident, after completing his matches. It has been reported that he will be returning to Cairo today.
