New Documentary Explores Dubai Humanitarian’s Role in Global Relief

A new documentary, ‘Coming Together: The Dubai Humanitarian Story’, examines the operations of Dubai Humanitarian, the world’s largest humanitarian logistics hub. The film follows the work of United Nations agencies, NGOs and government bodies as they coordinate responses to crises such as floods in Pakistan and the conflict in Gaza, highlighting how supplies including vaccines, shelter kits and food are dispatched from Dubai within hours.

“Dubai Humanitarian is more than a logistics hub - it’s a global lifeline,” said Giuseppe Saba, CEO, Dubai Humanitarian. “This film shows what’s possible when the world comes together, and when the UAE leads with purpose.”

Dubai Humanitarian operates from a 150,000 square metre warehouse complex provided by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The documentary outlines the role of international partners such as the UN World Food Programme and UNHCR, as well as local contributors including Emirates Airline and Dubai Customs.

Alongside logistics, the film focuses on the people involved -aid workers, customs officers, and teams on the ground - who manage the pressures of ensuring supplies reach affected areas.

By mid-2025, Dubai Humanitarian had delivered AED 179.2 million worth of aid to 81 countries. Its AI-based logistics platform, now used across 11 hubs, provides real-time forecasting and crisis preparation. With two-thirds of the world’s most disaster-prone populations accessible within eight hours, the hub is positioned as a central node in global relief.

The documentary is available on Dubai Humanitarian’s official YouTube channel.
