Cairo Is Now Emirates’ Most Served African City

Emirates is expanding its Dubai–Cairo route to five daily flights, starting February 1st, 2026, making Cairo the busiest city on the carrier’s African network. The new service will initially operate six weekly flights from December 2025, increasing to a daily schedule in February. Between December and the end of January, the additional winter flights will operate every day except Thursday. During this period, flights depart Dubai International Airport at 10:45 AM, arriving in Cairo at 1:00 PM, with return flights leaving Cairo at 2:40 PM and landing in Dubai at 7:55 PM. From February, the new daily route will depart Dubai at 4:00 AM, arriving in Cairo at 6:15 AM, with return flights leaving Cairo at 8:00 AM and arriving in Dubai at 1:15 PM. Flight times are designed to offer smooth connections to key destinations across Far East Asia, including Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand. Operated by a Boeing 777, the new flights also add 300 tonnes of weekly cargo capacity, supporting the transport of Egyptian fresh produce such as strawberries, other fruits, and vegetables. Cairo already hosts the highest deployment of Emirates A380s in the Middle East and North Africa outside Dubai, and with these additional flights, it becomes the airline’s top African hub for both passenger and cargo operations.
