Cairo Metro Prices Increase Effective Thursday August 1st
The new ticket prices start at EGP 8 for one area (9 stations) and max out at EGP 20 for four regions (more than 23 stations).

The Egyptian Ministry of Transportation has announced an increase in Cairo Metro Prices Effective Thursday August 1st.
The new ticket prices are as follows: EGP 8, up from EGP 6, for one area (9 stations), EGP 10, up from EGP 8, for two zones (16 stations), EGP 15, up from EGP 12, for three regions (23 stations), and EGP 20, up from EGP 15, for four regions (more than 23 stations).
