Cybersecurity Sector Contributed SAR 15.6 Billion to Saudi GDP in 2023
The cybersecurity industry accounted for 56% of Saudi Arabia’s total market value of SAR 13.3 billion in 2023.
The contributional revenue of the cybersecurity sector to Saudi Arabia’s total GDP reached SAR 15.6 billion (USD 4.16 billion) during 2023, according to a report published by the National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA). The number of Saudi cybersecurity product and service providers reached 353 by the end of 2023, which reflects the growth of the industry in the Kingdom.
The report revealed that the sector employs 19,600 cybersecurity professionals, 32% of whom are women, which is higher than the international average of 28%.
Furthermore, the cybersecurity industry as a whole, valued at SAR 7.5 billion, accounted for 56% of Saudi Arabia’s total market value of SAR 13.3 billion in 2023.
