Drone Filming Made Easier in Dubai With New Agreement
The ‘Dubai From the Sky’ initiative will grant media professionals streamlined access to permits required for aerial coverage.
In a significant step to advance media capabilities in Dubai, the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA) and the Dubai Media Council (DMC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to streamline the use of drones for media-related filming operations.
As part of the ‘Dubai From the Sky’ initiative, this MoU is designed to simplify procedures for drone-based filming, granting media professionals streamlined access to permits required for aerial coverage.
This agreement not only underscores the growing relevance of drones in contemporary media but also addresses the challenges posed by rapidly evolving technologies. With aerial media coverage rising in popularity and impact, the collaboration between DMC and DCAA serves to empower local and international media outlets to capture Dubai’s unique skyline, events, and infrastructure with greater accessibility and creativity.
