Dubai Introduces Chief AI Officers to all Ministries
Dubai has announced the implementation of AI technology within the government as well as across multiple sectors.
The Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence has been launched by Dubai's Crown Prince, aligning with the city's vision to boost its global tech leadership. With a focus on AI across sectors, the plan aims to contribute significantly to Dubai's economy, with targets including a yearly AED 100 billion increase and a 50% productivity increase through innovative digital solutions.
In its first phase, the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence has enabled the appointment of Chief Artificial Intelligence Officers in government entities, and the launch of AI and Web3 incubators.
Dubai's AI plan seeks to position the city as a global hub for AI governance and legislation, with efforts to attract tech giants. The plan emphasizes empowering government teams with AI skills, integrating AI into education, and introducing a Dubai Commercial License for Artificial Intelligence to attract investment and talent.
