Dubai Mall Announces Major Expansion with AED 1.5 Billion Investment
Emaar Properties unveiled an ambitious AED 1.5 billion investment plan to transform The Dubai Mall with extensive renovations.
The Dubai Mall - the world's second-largest shopping destination - is set to undergo a significant expansion. Emaar Properties, the Emirati developer behind the project, has announced an AED 1.5 billion investment dedicated to these extensive renovations.
Currently, The Dubai Mall spans over 3.8 million square feet, accommodating nearly 1200 stores and 200 restaurants. Among its many attractions are an Olympic-sized ice rink, a vast aquarium, the prestigious Fashion Avenue, and the iconic Dubai Fountains.
This latest expansion follows a series of successful enhancements, including the 2019 Zabeel project and the recent opening of ChinaTown. The mall's continuous innovation has earned it the title of "most visited place on earth" in 2023, underscoring its global appeal.
The planned expansion will add 240 brand new luxury retail stores and additional food and beverage options. These additions will further solidify The Dubai Mall's status as a premier shopping, leisure, and entertainment destination.
Although an official completion date has not yet been announced, construction is set to begin imminently. Shoppers and visitors can look forward to witnessing the exciting new developments as they unfold, promising an enhanced experience at this world-class destination.
