Dubai Taxi Company to Launch First Driverless Ride in March 2026

Dubai Taxi Company will introduce its first autonomous ride in Dubai in March 2026, marking the company’s entry into driverless transport as part of a broader push to integrate artificial intelligence into its operations.
Mansoor Al Falasi, Chief Executive of Dubai Taxi Company, said the driverless launch forms part of the group’s operational transformation strategy and adoption of advanced AI systems. The company is working with a major global technology firm to prepare for deployment, although the partner has not yet been named.
The rollout will begin in Dubai before expanding in phases to other emirates. Abu Dhabi is next in line, followed by Ajman and Sharjah through 2026.
The announcement comes as the company reported net profit of AED 365 million in 2025, the first time it has reached that level. The board has recommended final dividends of AED 142 million for the second half of the year, equivalent to 5.68 fils per share. Combined with interim dividends of AED 160.7 million distributed in August 2025, total payouts for the year will reach AED 302.7 million, or 12.11 fils per share, up 7.5% compared with 2024.
Future expansion plans span buses, limousine services, taxis and delivery operations, positioning the company within what it describes as an integrated mobility ecosystem.
