The Ministry of Health and Population has announced plans to build a new state-of-the-art Central Laboratories Complex in Badr City at a cost of EGP 1.375 billion. The project aims to upgrade laboratory services across the country in line with the latest international standards.
Construction is already underway on the 21,000 square metre facility, which will include eight buildings and cover an area three times the size of the current laboratories. Upon completion by the end of 2024, it will provide Egyptians with expanded access to advanced medical testing and analysis.
In addition to traditional medical testing, the Central Laboratories Complex in Badr City will incorporate the most up-to-date diagnostic technologies, utilising artificial intelligence to enhance practices across different specialist fields including food safety, disease prevention and other health approaches.
