The funds will enhance logistics, focusing on key projects like the June 30 Corridor and the Coastal International Road.
Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly announced the allocation of EGP 10 billion for major infrastructure upgrades in Port Said.
The funds will enhance logistics, focusing on key projects like the June 30 Corridor and the Coastal International Road, linking Port Said to Damietta. These improvements aim to streamline transportation, reduce costs, and accelerate goods movement. Additionally, the Ferry Road will reduce travel time between Port Said and its industrial zones to 30 minutes.
Port Said, a major export hub, accounts for 54% of Egypt’s ready-made garment exports. A new 360-acre industrial zone is planned for completion by next year.
Housing and tourism developments were also highlighted, including progress on the ‘Housing for All Egyptians’ initiative and a tourist promenade expected to boost local businesses.
