EGP 100k in Aid to Go to Each Family of Abu Sefein Church Fire Victims
Investigations have thus far shown that the fire occurred due to a generator malfunction in the church building. The resulting fire has reportedly caused 41 deaths and 14 injuries.

Following the fire that broke out in Abu Sefein Church this morning, Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly released a statement announcing the disbursement of EGP 100,000 in aid for each family of the victims, and up to EGP 20,000 for those injured.
Investigations have thus far shown that the fire occurred due to a generator malfunction in the church building. The resulting fire has reportedly caused 41 deaths and 14 injuries. The government is currently providing health care and support to the victims and their families.
